Startup Challenge

Do you think you have the next big idea and you need some help getting started?

How To Web is challenging all the web-changing startups in the world to a Startup Challenge for Eastern European fame. Any startup from Central and Eastern Europe can enter the competition and prove to us that their idea is the one that will rock the web in 2012.

Entry Criteria

Web startups that wish to take part in the competition have to comply to just a few rules:

  • They need to have less than 2 years of activity;
  • They can come from anywhere in Central and Eastern Europe but their startups need to target a global or international market;
  • They must have a concrete product to show on stage and give users for testing at the conference;
  • They mustn't have raised any VC funding until the present moment.

Judging Criteria

  • Target audience identification (include market size also);
  • Problem identification and customer development;
  • Solution and technology;
  • Competitive strategies;
  • Team;
  • Business model;
  • Overall feasibility and international impact.

Startup Challenge Jury

A professional jury will help us select the 10 finalists of the Startup Challenge and the winners of the final competition:

The Startup Challenge Final

Only 10 of the subscribed startups will be chosen for the Startup Challenge Final. All finalists will receive:

  • One free conference ticket, 50% discount for the second ticket.
  • 5 minutes presentation of their new product or service for free on the main stage in front ofthe 750 Internet professionals who are attending the How To Web 2011 conference.
  • A dedicated space, located in the Startup Challenge Area, where they can present their product or service to all attendees during one of the days.
  • Individual discussions with all the members of our amazing jury for feedback on how to improve their product or service.
